Sarah Mathenia joins Alterman Law Group

Alterman Law Group is pleased to announce that Sarah M. Mathenia has joined our real estate and business practice.  Sarah comes to our firm with a solid background in real estate and creditor’s rights law, and experience in commercial leasing, development agreements, title defect reformation, boundary line dispute resolution, and easement amendments.  Sarah brings her eye for detail, her meticulous drafting ability, and her experience as the owner of a small business to her work for clients to document transactions that are well-drafted at the outset to reduce the risk of later litigation. Sarah is also a skilled mediator and has a track record of assertively advocating for her clients to achieve a collaborative solution.

Sarah received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California, Davis, where she was an associate editor of the law review. She moved to Portland shortly after graduating from law school.  Sarah has practiced law in Oregon since 2012 and was admitted to the Washington bar in 2019.

After 25 years in California, Sarah appreciates the seasons, greenery, and clean air and water of the Northwest. If Sarah weren’t an attorney, she’d try her hand at psychiatry as she is fascinated by the human mind and what makes us tick. When she’s not at work, Sarah enjoys being active with her family and, whenever possible, getting outside to enjoy this beautiful corner of the country.

We’re very happy that Sarah has joined our team.  Welcome!
