Congratulations to the Hillsboro Hops on its agreement to manage the business operations of Timbers 2, the USL affiliate of the Portland Timbers, starting with the 2020 season. Erica Menze of Alterman Law Group represented the Hillsboro Hops in this transaction.
On August 16, Erica Menze presented a session on basic principles of real estate law for land use lawyers to the annual meeting of the Real Estate and Land Use Section of the Oregon State Bar. It was entitled “Don’t Zone Out When Your Client’s In Seizin.” (A simultaneous presentation in the next room covered basic principles of land use law for real estate lawyers.)

Erica focuses her practice on business and real estate transactions, and has a broad range of experience in other areas of law, including civil litigation, professional negligence, and debtor-creditor issues.
Erica was admitted to practice in Wisconsin and Oregon in 2012. Erica graduated from Marquette University Law School, where she served on the Marquette Sports Law Review and received her Sports Law Certificate from the National Sports Law Institute. Prior to law school, Erica attended St. Ambrose University, where she earned a B.A. in Management and Sports Marketing.
