On February 17 Dean Alterman presented a seminar on drafting trust deeds and secured promissory notes. The seminar was part of the Legal Lunchbox series, sponsored by the Sole and Small Firm Section of the Oregon State Bar, and was Dean’s second Legal Lunchbox presentation.
Today Dean Alterman will lead a one-hour Legal Lunchbox session for the Sole and Small Firm section of the Oregon State Bar, about the science and headaches of legal descriptions of real estate, entitled “It may be right, but is it legal?” Mixed in with the legal issues involved in writing and reviewing property descriptions, he will offer snippets of historical fact. Where did Meridian Park Hospital get its name from? Why is Baseline Road in Hillsboro called Baseline Road? The answers to both questions will be part of his topic.
